The COSP Classroom PD is an 8-week program (12 hours PD) that enhances educator's understanding of COSP principles in care settings. COSP-Classroom recognises that educators are holding complex, multiple relationships in the classroom. We also recognise that educators are working in partnership with parents and carers.
This 12 hours PD will bring your team together to understand attachment, the emotion regulation and stress response systems, and to find pathways to developing relationship capacities rather than behaviour management techniques. You'll learn ways to tailor your approach to help you reach children who may be difficult to connect with, and develop an understanding of your personal "emotional map" to support your reflective practice.
All educators who participate in the 8-week PD receive a Circle of Security Classroom workbook and certificate of completion.
Your facilitator is a Social Worker with over 15 years experience working with children and families including training and mentoring and group facilitation.
