Kids & Teens

My carer has been built upon working with children and young people, and their families. I believe that all work with young people is alongside the family unit. I work directly with children and young people, while also supporting parents and carers to build their skills for the home environment.  

 

Individual work with children and young people is often play-based and may include games, play, and creative expression. Our time together can be at your home or in community spaces where the young person feels comfortable.

 

When I work with children and young people, I spend time with them to build an understanding of their areas of strength as well as the areas they'd like to develop. Together we can find a pathway to achieving their goals. 

 

Individual social work will look different for everyone. For some people it might be a weekly appointment, for others, it might be fortnightly or even monthly.  Our work together might be short-term or a longer-term professional relationship. It all depends on how you'd like to work together to Ignite Hope into your life.
